Final Auditions End with No Golden Buzzers — But Several Surprise Acts Stay Alive

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The final night of America’s Got Talent Season 21 auditions delivered plenty of memorable moments, but one thing was noticeably absent: Golden Buzzers.

After all available Golden Buzzers had already been used earlier in the season, contestants could only hope for enough “Yes” votes from Simon Cowell, Mel B, Sofía Vergara, and Howie Mandel to remain in contention. That made every performance feel like a must-win moment as hopefuls competed for one of the remaining places in the competition.

A Tougher Road to the Live Shows

Without the possibility of an instant pass, every act had to convince at least three judges they deserved another chance.

The judges praised several standout performers, including country band Pynk Beard, blind singer Sarah Hardwig, and a variety of unique comedy, music, and variety acts that impressed despite the intense competition.
