Stephen Bear jailed for breaching restraining order over social media posts about Georgia Harrison

Stephen Bear has been jailed for breaching a restraining order that had been imposed to protect his ex-girlfriend Georgia Harrison.

The 36-year-old sex offender was sentenced to 16 months in prison on Thursday (6 August) for repeatedly breaching a restraining order by posting about Harrison on his social media.

He was pictured smiling and waving when arriving at Chelmsford Crown Court with now-partner Miami, 19, who he announced he was expecting a child with in March of this year. She has been seen accompanying him during recent court appearances.

Between March and July 2025, a court heard how Bear repeatedly posted about Harrison on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X and YouTube – despite a restraining order that expressly prohibited him from doing so.

The posts formed part of a campaign of abuse in which he made degrading comments about her and encouraged others to also make comments.

The five-year restraining order had been imposed in 2023 after Bear had been found guilty of disclosing private sexual photographs and films of Harrison MBE with intent to cause distress, and voyeurism. At the time, he also received a 21-month prison sentence for his crimes.

In screenshots and screen recordings provided as evidence, Bear had made a series of accusations and degrading comments about her and alleged that she and her mother had conspired to pervert the course of justice.

Bear also went on to create an online petition seeking support for a retrial and attempting to obtain Harrison’s bank statements. A court was told how he persisted with his online posts despite several of his accounts being shut down due to their content.

The television personality praised Essex Police after Bear was jailed on Thursday. She has repeatedly spoken out after Bear’s revenge porn offences against her a number of years ago.

He was previously found guilty of voyeurism and disclosing private, sexual photographs and films back in December 2022 after sharing a video to his OnlyFans account without Harrison’s knowledge or consent.

In a fresh statement, Harrison said: “Essex Police took me seriously when so many women in my position are overlooked. They treated this as the serious crime it is – not a celebrity story. It is a real offence against a real person.

“They built the case properly, they stayed with it, and when the order was breached, they acted instead of shrugging. From the messages I get every day, I know how rare that still is. If every force treated this the way Essex Police did, thousands of women would feel safer today.”

Last year, the Love Island star opened up about how she continues to ‘really struggle’ with how the sexually explicit video remains available online, even years after the initial court case.

She told the BBC: “I would say obviously the hardest part for me was having to see how widespread my video still is. I have a lot of people messaging me all the time, sending me clips of it.

“It’s always something in the back of my mind, but having to really face head-on exactly where it is and how many places it’s in was a real struggle for me.”

Following Bear’s sentencing, Senior Crown Prosecutor Andrew Young said that he launched a ‘campaign of abuse’ against Harrison and ‘hid behind a screen’ to carry out the online attacks.

He said: “Restraining orders are imposed by the courts to protect victims. Breaching them is a criminal offence which we will not hesitate to prosecute with the full force of the law.

“Over several months, Stephen Bear launched a campaign of abuse against Georgia Harrison MBE on his social media channels. He used his platforms to amplify abuse and encourage others to target her, despite being expressly prohibited from doing so.

“No woman should be made to live in fear because someone refuses to accept the restrictions placed on them by a court. Stephen Bear may have hidden behind a screen, but his actions had real-world consequences.

“The CPS will always seek to prosecute those who threaten, harass or intimidate women and girls, whether that behaviour takes place in person or online.”
